Christmas Countdown

Hey,

This past week was crazy! Elder Taufa and I worked so hard! When we came home at night we were so tired. Usually Elder Taufa likes to talk a lot. But we've been so tired that we just pass out. We've seen a lot of miracles and have been able to be a part of a lot of different peoples lives.

On Tuesday one of the members, Matute, called us up. He's an old guy that lives all alone. He knows a lot about everything and just spends his time helping people, he's really cool! He called us and he said, "Elders, I have someone for you to baptize! Come over as soon as you can." So we went, of course. He introduced us the a girl named Joanna. She is 20 years old and she has family that lives about a half hour away. We don't know all of her story but she's had a pretty hard life. She's living with Matute for a while and he is helping her with some legal stuff. We taught her everyday this past week. It was a lot of fun and a little different. For one, she speaks english so we taught a lot of the lessons in english. Secondly, she had no religious backround. Our lessons had to be super simple. I was good for us to have to take a step back, slow down, and teach someone that God is really there!

This gospel is true! I know it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Bautizmo!!

This Saturday we had the baptism of Stiven Lagos. He's awesome! He is an 11 year old. Both his parents aren't members but his grandparents are. His older sister Evelin was baptized and he wanted to be baptized too. So his parents told him he could be baptized on his birthday! His 11th birthday was last saturday!
Sorry this is short. Feliz Navidad!!

Thanksgiving!

We ate twice for thanksgiving! One with a strong member family (Robles) at 3 and then later at 8 with a part member family (Familia Moran). Needless to say, we ate a lot of turkey! This was also the first thanksgiving I've had where I put hot sauce on my food. It was pretty good. But what thanksgiving is really about, is being thankful!!

Transfers are this week and neither me or Elder Taufa are getting transfered! I'm super excited to spend six more weeks here! I can't wait to spend Christmas and New Years with Elder Taufa.

The work is going good. We have a baptism next saturday. I will try and send pictures but these computers don't really work.
